Aye. How do you screen Forex pairs? I've been dipping my feet in the Forex waters and it's going so-so using the strategy I do in stocks. The only problem is I don't have a Forex screener. I'd appreciate your insights. Thank y'all and stay safe (and profitable).
I am a day trader and I like to trade when the price bounce off support and resistance lines however i find it frustrating waiting and locating a strong support and resistance lines . I use trading view Forex screener and I need help finding a search criteria that narrow it down to pairs with price actions that are close to support and resistance areas
I believe it would be extremely helpful/valuable to have available a Forex Correlation table that displays the trade correlations of all currencies in different time intervals (Day, 4 Hour, 2 Hour, 1 Hour, 30 Minute, and 5 Minute). The tables should represents the correlation between the various parities of the foreign exchange market. The correlation coefficient highlights the similarity of the movements between two parities.
If the correlation is high (above 80) and positive then the currencies move in the same way.
If the correlation is high (above 80) and negative then the currencies move in the opposite way.
If the correlation is low (below 60) then the currencies don't move in the same way.
Hi forex, I'm a user experience designer looking to build the ultimate forex watchlist, and I want to understand how forex traders use their watchlists. What would you like to do with your watchlist and currently can't? How do you build your watchlist? Do you have multiple watchlists? Do you like automated suggestions, such as Hot, Trending, Popular, New, Most Traded, Recently Traded, Most Volatile? I would really appreciate your input. Thank you!

Hi, Whichever option the screener is set, it doesn't work. It doesn't show a thing. Both the crypto, fundamentals, and Forex show nothing. This is in the default setting, and if I acess it through the incognito mode, it works. Does anyone have an idea? https://i.imgur.com/GkNiAZP.png
Created a free TradingView user curated TA chart screener to see sentiment
I found that the TA posted constantly on the TV chat channels is always pretty solid, so I created this free, minimal website to display all the stock and forex analysis charts, every 60 seconds throughout the whole day - you might see the odd meme chart but i've had great success using it as a general screener in the morning. Hope it's of use to someone here! https://tacharts.live/
Q: Are you aware of any tools that can be used to compare the results of previously backtested strategies?
There are many tools online, such as TradingView, that allows users to write scripts or strategies to automatically buy and sell stocks or FOREX at certain times. These work on a variety of technical analysis indicators such as a combination of MACD, SMA, ext. Individually, they can be backtested on specific stocks by individually loading each one on a program like TradingView and comparing the returns (which is super annoying). I was wondering if you were aware of a website, or another tool, that compares all the strategies that have been developed by users on these platforms, and then ranks them according to those that have achieved the biggest returns? Kind of like a strategy screener and ranker. I am essentially looking to see if anyone has come across some sort of database that can rank and compare among the many thousands of strategies created by users available online. If you are aware of such a service, please let me know! If not, I am happy to consider creating one myself. Please let me know if you would be interested in such a project. TL;DR: Are you aware of a tool that automatically compares different backtested strategies to find the one that would have historically provided the best returns for a specific stock?
Community call to action - share your favorite resources to be compiled into a permanent and current list!
Hey guys, myself and the other mods are working on putting together a big resources thread to hopefully alleviate some of the very common "what are your favorite books?", "what trading platform should I use?" and other similar questions that we constantly see here. I personally have a list of probably 500-1,000 bookmarks I've collected over the years consisting of all kinds of scanners, screeners, research tools, trading software/apps, blogs, books, videos, trading communities, allllll kinds of stuff that am currently filtering through and updating to make a big categorized list of things I use to gather news and make decisions in the markets, and I'm sure many of you have tons of stuff I haven't even heard of. On that note, if you have a tool, resource, website, blog, whatever that you find invaluable in your trading/investing activities, please share it and a short description of what it is and how you use it and we'll use this thread as an addendum and include many of the suggestions here in the final post. In particular we're looking for stuff categorized into the following categories:
BROKERS/TRADING SOFTWARE (especially those that support international clients)
SCANNING/SCREENING/IDEA GENERATION
NEWS RESOURCES
BOOKS
VIDEOS/TUTORIALS ON "GETTING STARTED"
TECHNICAL ANALYSIS RESOURCES
FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS RESOURCES
SECURITY TYPE-SPECIFIC TOOLS/WEBSITES (e.g. things useful specifically for options traders, specifically for forex, specifically for equities, etc)
BLOGS/READING/RESEARCH MATERIAL
USEFUL TWITTER ACCOUNTS (Ideally news/info related rather than the typical fintwit pumpetrading service stuff, though some of them can be useful and will be included)
ANYTHING ELSE YOU FIND HANDY
That should be enough to get us started. Not everything in this thread will be included, but I will link to this thread in the final one. In the mean time I am going to go through my own massive list of stuff and try to dig out the best of the best. Looking forward to getting this up soon and hopefully it will be useful! Thanks!

Why were Professional traders using that? Some peoples have doubts about why they are using that. So today I am going to tell you about Tradingview and its specialities. Let’s start. First of all, what is Tradingview? Why Tradingview is the Best Charting Platform? Tradingview is the most advanced and smoothest charting platform and stock screener platform in the whole world. It has many many features that we even can’t think. It is trendy, and the users are increasing day by day. It has a large number of charting tools to research, and it also gives the ability to share their ideas with other traders. What are the features of Tradingview? *It has a wide variety of instruments to analyse(it has stocks, cryptos, forex, commodities and other indices) ....... The list of market resources pinned to the top of the sub has been updated!
Hi all, Just did a quick update to the resources list at the top of the sub to add most of the suggestions I got in the comments. The new additions (mostly in the "GENERAL STOCK MARKET RESEARCH" category, but also added some in the Fundamental Analysis section and the blogs/misc resources section) Here are some of the new additions - thanks for all the suggestions! Bolded ones are ones I have used myself and just missed adding in the first post.
Why are Stock Brokers so bad at offering trading services??
So why are stockbrokers not doing much to offer good quality services and just being updated with the times. Forex industry so far ahead with client services despite being fairly new, why wont Stock brokers do the same. 1.Most Stock Brokers dont offer demo accounts, unlike with Forex brokers, you have to pay third party stocks simulator providers if you want to practice 2.The stock trading platforms offered by most brokers aint intuitive to use for first time users, they are clunky and and confusing. 3.They ask to pay for data and platform fee, forex brokers offer free. Gotta pay extra to acess OTC stocks market data and Level 2s, Pay for good charting software. 4.Have to pay for a stock screenescanner, or if offered free its not a very useful one. Also got to pay for News Access. 5.A whole bunch of fees and penalties, how can one make profit with so many much chirping on your account balance? Account fee, Margin fee, Margin Call fee, outgoing funds fee, hard to borrow short locate fees, Overnight Short Fee etc, ECN fee. Suretrader, was one of the worst example of this. 6.Usually cant get shares to short, or some brokers dont allow you to trade OTC Markets/Penny Stocks Just a number of Pet Peeves I have with Stock Brokers, so frustrating trying to get in this type of trading and dealing with these brokerages.
Hey, used to trade a little bit a few years ago, and now I am coming back to trading. I’m looking to start algo trading because I have been doing a lot of dev work these past few years. I’m looking to make my program with the Julia programming language.
What brokerage do you guys use? I am interested in no-fee brokerages. I have my eyes set on TradeZero.
What do you guys use for backtesting? I’ve read about Quantopia but I’d like something more local/private
Who’s market data do you use?
Has algo trading resulted in better results than manually trading with the assistance of tools such as screeners?
Would algo trading be better for forex than securities markets since it is largely based on trends?

My take on all discount brokers after 15 yrs between Fidelity, eTrade, TDA, Schwab and Robinhood
I tried all traditional discount brokers and Robinhood, and found each of them is pretty much same. Each of them is having something strong. Question is do you 'care' or need what they strong. So for example, I found schwab's money withdrawal is the smoothest, and fidelity's phone support. I would love to know your thoughts if you tried multiple brokers Traditional brokers good: - Phone support, - easy to withdraw money, - fully featured website with forex, foreign trading, ETF/mutual fund screener, bad: - A bloated website, not very user-friendly, So instead of maintaining watchlist or stock quotes, I end up checking in yahoo/google. - difficult to find information, - $5 commission - $price improvement (if you are making 1000 share trades, it could be $6-$10 savings) New players: Robinhood, Webull and others - Slick UI, mobile trading - $0 commission Bad - website does not have much info, not much research tools. - not many product for example, no short selling or foreign trading. - No customer support (phone or chat) - you may not get a good execution price as order flow is optimized where they get best rates and not you. *Robinhood = Robbing hood :) ) - My wishlist will be a brokerage that combines good parts of old and new players :) Share your experience with brokers.
